and from what I have seen, for GM that "business plan" is labeled "China" (where they have about 20% of the market.....AND a "business partnership" with the government). Ford ? Seems their "plan" is Europe (and the somewhat incomprehensible "retool", here in Louisville, planned for the "large truck plant"...converting it to accommodate manufacture of....Expeditions and Navigators!). Chrysler? Haven't a clue (hope THEY do)!
IF they (including the UAW) do not present a viable "plan", they may not be here (in current "form"), when Obama takes office. The political posturing of many members of Congress is almost as sickening as the situation. That said, I do not think the votes are there ABSENT some big-time eating of crow by those "parties" seeking the assistance. L.
