Wait till they go to work on the first phase of high speed rail. They are planning on spending $3.5 million.....a day. This is $2 million a day more than any previous project in U.S. history. They have to spend this to meet a 2017 federal deadline or lose funding for the project.
Problem is, they don't yet own the land or have the permits. Given how things go in California, they will be lucky to START the project before 2017, so we may have nothing to worry about.
BYW, don't you love the logo for the CHSRA? Does it look familiar?
