Is it really that hard for you to understand?
GM didn't "take" anything overseas. They opened up new plants to produce cars in China that are sold in China. No U.S. jobs were lost. No cars made in China are sent back to the U.S. No factories were closed and work shifted to China.
There is a HUGE difference between closing a factory in the U.S., moving it overseas and then shipping the product back to the U.S. THIS AIN'T IT!!!
Your hero seems to want to argue that these cars should be made here and then shipped over to China at exorbitant transportation cost. Never mind that it would make them uncompetitive nor would the Chinese gov't allow it.
Sorry to disappoint you, but this ain't a gotcha moment.
