RAP's entire point was that libs typically point to jobs/factories moving over seas as a problem caused by capitalism/conservatism. Strange how those arguments don't hold water when needed to support their messiah.

Funny how you condemn Bain Capital when the Obama bail-out had much WORSE consequences. I'm not saying the final results are much different other than the make-up of winners vs losers but the numbers are much higher. And, of course, taxpayers were stuck with the bill.

GM Plant closings since 2008:

•Orion, MI •Pontiac, MI (Stamping, Assembly) •Spring Hill, TN •Wilmington, DE •Grand Rapids, MI •Indianapolis, IN •Mansfield, OH •Livonia, MI •Flint, MI •Willow Run, MI •Parma, OH •Fredricksburg, VA •Massena, NY Service and Parts Operations closures:

•Boston, MA •Jacksonville, FL •Columbus OH

Job losses since 2008:

"The Obama administration forced their bankruptcy, and closed thousands of local dealerships. The jobs lost number in the hundreds of thousands. GM alone went from 252,000 employees to 207,000 and 131,000 of them are working in foreign plants. Both GM and Chrysler have been loaded up with Debt - $51billion still outstanding and at least $24billion may never be paid back.

Mr. Romney rescued companies with PRIVATE money, Mr Obama's story is very different he bailed the auto companies out with TAXPAYER money. Pension funds of the retirees were virtually wiped out, secured creditors were wiped out and the Unions were rewarded with significant investment in the auto companies. All part of the president's plan. The auto bailout makes Bain Capital look like an amateur on job losses and outsourcing."

NOTE: As with your Bain Capital example, "pensions were virtually wiped out".

I was looking for exact numbers relating to job gains and losses. Surprisingly (or not), that information is difficult to verify. Looks like the MSM isn't keeping a real close track of that...yea, I'm shocked as well. LOL
