Both of my maternal uncles were in London at the time, one with "Wild Bill" Donovan's OSS, the other with Naval Intelligence. They never ran across each other during that time, but that's not surprising for two guys in the spook business.

The OSS uncle must have had a guardian angel. One morning he walked to "work" and found his office building flattened by a V-2 just minutes earlier. After spending the day searching for survivors and bodies, he returned home to find his flat destroyed by another V-2. Astronomical odds, no matter how you look at it.
